new updates in 2025!

we hired research interns!

Yes, it is true.  We hired Research Interns and it was incredible. From teaching them to cold email to helping them prepare policy briefs to solve a health issue of their choice, Woolf’s Torn Pages provided them with a foundation needed to successfully contribute to research on a large scale! We were even able to work with the FDA on trying to modify the predicate rule to promote equity based on our founder’s research on pain medicine. It was a fantastic experience and we are so grateful for our interns who got to be part of our family!

Our founder presented at the U.S. Conference on Poverty and Basic Needs and it was a great way to share research on the impact of menstrual stigma on adolescents. To present, we submitted a research abstract on the subject to their team and got approved for presenting in Las Vegas, Nevada! It was such a surreal experience meeting public health advocates around the country and presenting alongside Mass NOW, PERIOD., and more.  We hope to do it again!

Our founder was invited to lead a women’s health panel at the United Nations General Assembly on October 19 from 9-10 A.M. It was an incredible experience to work with the UN on this initiative in honor of the United Nation’s 80th anniversary! In our presentation, we got to discuss gynecologic disorders, structural issues in women’s healthcare, and strategies for systemic change. We hope to work with the UN on more initiatives towards women’s health in the future!

we held our 3rd annual hygiene drive!

We ran our annual Hygiene Drive for the third time and it was a wonderful experience! At the end of the week, we collected 860 products and were able to donate it to the El Dorado Food Bank. Woolf’s Torn Pages is filled with gratitude that we are able to give back to our community in such a personal way.  We are grateful that we can support both Sacramento and El Dorado County through our contributions and help those in women's/homeless shelters and safe parking lots during the holiday season!

reviews of our dispensers in public school restrooms!

“They’re so sleek and they’re so cute and easy to use! They’re for a good cause and installed with the work of amazing women who actually care 🙌🙌.”

“I love the effort to support menstrual hygiene on campus!”

“It would be really great if we could incorporate them into more of the bathrooms!”

“I love that there are pads in the bathroom now for when you don’t have any or are in need!! I was so happy to see these in the bathroom today!!!”

“I really like having the dispensers! It makes grabbing menstrual products super easy and private especially when I forget to bring them into the restroom. I really like that it’s inside the restrooms themselves because nobody knows that it’s that time of month for me!”
