Hi, my name is Ahana Raghavan and I am the founder of Woolf's Torn Pages. Reaching gender equity is a goal I think is incredibly important to strive towards, and sometimes it needs to be done in unconventional ways. I started
WTP with the goal of combatting period poverty everywhere I can, but it has grown into so much more. I sincerely hope we can further the efforts of this initiative by emphasizing the importance of research on women's health, demonstrating the importance of pay parity, valuing self-
care, breaking down stigma, and improving WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) policy. I have spoken globally about my work in advocacy with both U.S-based companies as well as African organizations. I hope
to expand our efforts further, and as the Chairwoman of the Menstrual Hygiene Council, I hope to engage more passionate students as well!
